Saga Subsea further expanding our deepwater and research experience

Saga Subsea took a strategic decision about a year ago defining 6 marked segments where we would want to focus our further development, where we feel that we could have a positive impact with regards to a greener and cleaner future for our planet, adding new technology to the subsea marked, have a positive influence on recruitment to the maritime workplace and add value to Norwegian supply chain with export to international projects.

Education is the key word for a business like ours to expand in any marked. To learn and have knowledge of how marine life work, how it is affected, what effects it and how we can harvest on natures resources in a sustainable way is a must for the survival of any business. At the end of the day; How nature can power us.

Last week, our operators took part of a research mission diving in to the deepest point on the Norwegian continental shelf. See the following link to an article about the location from Geoforskning: https://geoforskning.no/norges-dypeste-punkt/

The reason why we got to attend this research mission, was due to a contract that was won last month, where we get to attend a series of research mission together with the leading ocean research center and university in Norway.

This was a public procurement tender where Saga Subsea came out as one of the winners, adding us in to a series of research campaigns the next year.

Saga Subsea have with this been given an opportunity to supply personnel and subsea equipment, and attend operations like collection of seabed samples, marine growth, geological data and minerals and mapping of the seabed and it`s content. The operations will commence in deep-water and partly challenging areas with high volcanic activity.
