Oxyl-pro clean

Oxyl-Pro Clean is a product that effectively removes and prevents biofilm from forming in freshwater systems, as well as removing viruses, fungi and bacteria such as Legionella. The product is 100% natural and decomposes into oxygen and water when in use, thus meaning it is easy to dump flush water in shore when needed. This is quite relevant for ships that normally would need to go outside the 12nm border before dumping of chlorine-containing water. but nevertheless emphasizes that the product is environmentally friendly and harmless for both the environment and people. Oxyl-Pro Clean is an adequate substitute for chlorine in freshwater systems and does not cause effect smell, taste or appearance of the water.  

Biofilm is a membrane of bacteria that adheres to the inside of the tube and attracts new bacteria, viruses, fungi and other pathogens (see pictures on left side). In the biofilm, harmful pathogens (viruses, amoebas and bacteria) can grow freely and concealed from most common disinfectants (such as chlorine) that only kill what is in the water itself, not in the biofilm.

At first use, "shock treatment" of the freshwater system is recommended to remove biofilm from the pipes. This is done by adding high-dose Oxyl-Pro Clean and by flushing points to get the product circulated in the system. Let the mixture work for specific time (depends on the size of the system), before the pipe system is emptied and flushed of water and biofilm residues. If the pipe system is a few years old, there will be a considerable amount of this biofilm discharge. The fresh water system can now be usednormally with continuous dosing of Oxyl-Pro Clean at 45ml / m³ (17ppm). Oxyl-Pro Clean is added either directly in the water tank or by dosing pump. In fact, if Oxyl-Pro is used in daily operation, there will never be a need to repeat shock treatment, as the Oxyl-Pro Clean will prevent biofilm from forming in the first place.
